Pack Financial Aid

1.      Pack 703 believes that every youth should have the opportunity to participate in scouting regardless of financial status.

2.      Any scout that participates in Pack Fundraising by: (1) working 4 hour or more hours at storefront popcorn sales; and (2) actively engages in a majority of the other Pack fundraisers, shall be eligible for Pack financial Aid.  This provision shall not apply for refunds of costs incurred by the scout to initially join as a new member.     

3.      To be considered for Pack financial aid, a completed copy of the Great Rivers Council financial aid application must be included with the request.  The amount of Pack financial aid shall take other financial aid given into consideration.

4.      Pack financial aid per scout shall not exceed 50% of the total cost for BSA Dues, GRC Program Fees, and Pack 703 Dues (in 2024 financial aid shall not exceed $150).

5.      The amount of aid to be granted, if any, shall be determined by the consensus of the Cubmaster and the Pack Committee Chairman.

6.      Pack financial aid may come in one or more of the following forms:

  • Reduced or waived Pack 703 Dues
  • Award of funds reserved for Pack financial aid.
