Pack 703 is at an existing point. Youth membership is increasing (50+ scouts), Pack program offerings continue to expand and improve, and we continue the 50+ year rich tradition of Pack 703 by helping to mold our youth into amazing young adults who live by the Scout Oath and Law.
For as bright as the future appears, as with all organizations, the last few years have been equally difficult. As a result of the pandemic, youth membership significantly dropped, which has caused a significant drop in fundraising. Couple this with the cost of all items significantly increasing and the Pack’s financial reserves have taken a significant hit.
Further, unfortunately a scout will have to fundraise or pay dues of $155 to be a member of the Pack and attend all events, which is in addition to National and Council dues and fees. Pack leadership is attempting to keep costs low for the scouts, but help is needed.
Pack 703 is not a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation to the Pack will not be tax deductible. However, the Alumni and Friends of Pack 703 is a 501(c)(3) organization and would be happy to provide a receipt for tax purposes.
