Get to know Richard Moore, our Cubmaster…

Richard has been a member of the BSA for 44 years, since he was a Cub Scout in 2nd grade. He completed Cub Scouts and earned the Arrow of Light award. As a Boy Scout he earned his Eagle Scout and was very active in the Order of the Arrow, which is an honor society within the BSA, where he was a Lodge Chief, Vigil Honor recipient and Founders’ Award recipient. Richard serves as International Representative for the Great Rivers Council, serves on its Executive Board and Risk Management Committee. He received the Silver Beaver award in 2024. He has completed Seabadge and Wood Badge, and has served on Wood Badge staff. Within Pack 703, Richard has served as the Lion’s Den Leader, Pack Trainer, and most recently Assistant Cubmaster. Richard also continues to be active in scouting in southeast Missouri where he was raised.

Richard is an attorney who works for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. His wife Susan and daughter Brooks (a member of Pack 703) live in Columbia.
